We Are All In This Together
This Sunday, we begin a new sermon series called A Different Kind of People. Over the next six weeks, we will walk with Jesus through the Gospel of Luke and ask a simple but challenging question:
What kind of people is Jesus forming us to be?
Like Jesus’s first disciples, we are called to live differently because we are being shaped by the love, mercy, and grace of Jesus.
And yet, if we are honest, many of us try to do this journey alone.
We carry things by ourselves. We hesitate to ask for help. We keep our struggles tucked away where no one else can see them.
One of the struggles more and more people are facing is loneliness, disconnection, and exhaustion. We can be more connected than ever and still feel deeply unseen. We can have calendars full of activity and still wonder who really knows what is going on in our lives.
But from the very beginning, the church has carried a different story. We belong to God. And because we belong to God, we belong to one another.
This journey of faith was never meant to be done alone. We need people who will pray with us, laugh with us, challenge us, encourage us, sit beside us, and remind us of grace when we forget it ourselves.
That is why, throughout this summer series, we are also gathering each Sunday at 9 a.m. for fellowship and discipleship before our 10 a.m. worship service.
It will be a simple space to connect, reflect on Scripture, share conversation, and remember that we are all in this together.
Because following Jesus does not just make us individually better. Jesus forms us into a different kind of people.
A people who refuse to let one another walk alone.
I hope you will join us this Sunday at 9 a.m. and stay for worship at 10 a.m. as we begin this journey together.
Come as you are. Bring your questions. Bring your coffee. Bring your real life.
There is room for you at the table.
With Gratitude,
