The Food Share Ministry deeply appreciates non-perishable items brought to the altar on Communion Sundays. With your help, AUMC can greatly supplement the fresh food items we provide to our recipients. Your donations of canned vegetables, canned meat, canned fruits, macaroni & cheese, dry rice & beans, cereal, etc. provide more than comfort food to our families. You are also providing comfort to them in the form of Christian fellowship, showing them that AUMC cares about each family that we serve.
Open Arms: A Ministry for Adults with Special Needs
Open Arms is a monthly ministry of Aldersgate UMC, providing a Saturday afternoon of care and fun for adults with special needs, and a time of respite for their caregivers. Anyone can help, either behind the scenes or by being a "buddy" to one of our participants. To learn more, please contact Nancy Messuri at

Angel Tree
Once a year since 1996, we work with a family or 2 in need of some extra assistance during the holidays. Food, Christmas trees and gifts are all provided to these families due to the generosity of AUMC's members. For information please contact the coordinator, Debbie Fast at 972-492-9393 or

Global Missions
UMCOR – United Methodist Committee on Relief
Whenever a disaster occurs, UMCOR is there to help the people affected. Our gifts to UMCOR provide aid throughout the world, whether they take the form of flood buckets for cleanup in Central Texas or checks written to assist whatever area of the nation or world needs help at the time. Through UMCOR’s presence, we share the love and care of God with our global community.
CROP Walk
Make a difference in our community and the world -- walk or sponsor a walker! CROP Walk helps to provide food, plants and emergency kits throughout the world. Aldersgate has participated in this walk for several years. For more information on CROP Walk and the good it does throughout the world, visit www.churchworldservice.org.
Apportionments
The apportionments Aldersgate pays to the North Texas Annual Conference each year support the ministries carried out through our denomination. By supporting the administrative network of the United Methodist Church, we ensure that 100% of any special offerings go directly to the need at hand.
